What causes weight gain in just the stomach and thighs?
Indira Cherchio: I have gained significant weight in a short time in only my stomach and thighs and a tiny bit in the breasts, not my arms or face. I don’t seem to have symptoms of pregnancy, my blood work for thyroid and diabetes came back fine in April. My stomach is what’s bothering me most its like a giant ball. My diet has not changed. What causes the stomach to bloat out like this?
Berry Kawell: There are 3 possibilities -
1. Internal organ expansion – when your organ is weak ( overworked or malnuitrition etc), you tempt to reproduce more cells on that organ. That is why when people see big upper-stomach, this may refer to weak-liver. This happens to most of young and mid age adults. Provided, you can not pick the fat tissues from your skin on the tommy.
2. Lymph system malfunction – you see lots of fat gained by picking skins around fatty areas. if you can pick at lot of fat under the skin, you need to enhance your lymphtic nodes around the area so that your macrophages can be reproduced well to “eat” the fat cells.
3. Oedema -water in the tissue. Rarely happened. If you find your water accumulated in that area, your tummy will “change shape”, like, moving distantly from one side to the other.
